MARCUS BLAKE - STOREFRONT

PRESS RELEASE: August 1, 2020

SUMMER WINDOWS @ SWAMPSPACE OPENS IN THE MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT

Art in the time of COVID on view 24/7

MARCUS BLAKE STOREFRONT   August 3rd through September 1st, 2020

“Nothing is important... so everything is important”  Keith Haring

For our August installation in the windows we celebrate art on the streets of Miami and beyond with an encore view of Markus Blake’s iconic mural. One could say affectionately that Marcus is the prince of storefronts. He has perfected a distinctive and lyrical technical style aptly called Tapenology. More so Blake demonstrates prolifically the power of creative leadership that is highly regarded by our community. Blake is a prophet of positive thought and an undeniable champion for our times.

These beneficial partnerships aim to build an audience that is agreeable to a collective awareness of the power of art. The result is a greater understanding of civility affecting change. Windows@Swampspace offers a much needed soulful relief from the lashing of our times.

A window is not a mirror. It is not a reflection of reality. A window is a portal and a barrier at once.  A window is a veil through which one may spin the filters of experience to focus on resplendent fields of analytical inquiry.
