SUPER COOPER Cooper Union Alumni Exhibition

Swampspace presents SUPER COOPER, an exhibition exclusively featuring alumni from The Cooper Union, a visionary college that redefined higher education in America since 1859. These multigenerational, multidisciplinary alumni received an education that was …free as air and water…a term coined by founder Peter Cooper. We celebrate this radical vision of knowledge and discourse by showcasing work of several local artists who attended this iconic institution. The exhibition will include works on paper, made specifically for the show, which are mailed in by dozens of Cooper Union Alumni from around the world to express their personal connections to each other and with our city.

Art Exhibition Opens in the Design District

Uncle Ollie’s Piano Lounge - Swampspace 20th Anniversary

Celebrating 20 years in the Miami Design District, Swampspace presents Uncle Ollie’s Piano Lounge. This unique exhibition is a milestone for the long standing artist-run project space. Visit their 100th cultural event featuring an open-mic piano, a delightful salon of old and new works by founder, Oliver Sanchez, and a digital photo essay that traces the visionary development of the Design District over the past two decade through the eye of this local artist. Swampspace has been a place of mentorship for dozens of aspiring artists, and an unsung steward of the flourishing arts ecosystem. Come share your Swampspace memories, and walk away with a swampy souvenir. This exhibition kicks off the season of cultural promise culminating in Miami Art Week 2025.
